Job Title: Arabic Language Teacher

Based at: U.S. Embassy Amman, Jordan.

Job Summary: Sanford Federal, Inc. is looking for a qualified Arabic Teacher to provide courses in the U.S. Embassy Amman. They shall be one hour in length and shall be scheduled between Sunday and Thursday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. k.

Requirements:

The candidate shall have an experience working with US Embassies and having performed similar duties as the one listed above.

A Degree and Certification from an affirmed University is a MUST; The category of the degree must be in relation to the described field.

A proven record of successful accomplished courses is a plus and will positively impact the salary.

Duties:

The Arabic Language Teacher shall provide the following services to U.S. Embassy Amman:

Shall instruct employees and their adult eligible family members in the Arabic language. The instructor will teach speaking, listening, reading and writing to classes regardless of the number of students in each class and at all levels. Classes should be at least three students (classes of fewer than three students must be approved by COR) and normally no more than five, however classes can include up to ten students if necessary.

Duties will involve assigning lessons and correcting faulty pronunciation, improper tone pattern and faulty structure through intensive drills and other lesson material as appropriate; designing lessons, creating vocabulary lists and drills, and obtaining original reading and lesson material from local newspapers, etc. as needed; tailoring individual classes to the particular needs of the students and recommending appropriate classes for new students, monitoring progress and recommending transfer of students as appropriate.

Shall provide foreign language instruction to adult students that are focused on political and economic fields, cultural lessons, general interest and conversational skills, job-related tasks, and other areas.

Shall provide instructional Foreign Language Training Services at the firm fixed prices shown in this contract.
